Laura Shockley works in recycled eco-silver creating limited runs of jewellery, inspired by patterns and textures found in nature as well as those created by the tools and techniques used in the making process. Naming her fledgling business Tortoise and Hare.Design is a nod to the fact that Laura had a long break from working in jewellery design and manufacture, trying her hand at other crafts and career routes before finding her way back to jewellery.
